LAWN MAINTAINANCE IN AUTUMN

Autumn tints delight most of people. At the same time autumn means much work in your garden. It is worth mentioning that it is very important to pay attention to lawn maintenance in fall. Lawn care and plant protection in this season is an essential condition of wellbeing garden in the next year.
Lawn care in autumn depends on the weather to a considerable extent. If the weather is soft, in this case it is desirable to mow the lawn regularly, as the grass grows still intensively enough. Do not cut the grass too short. After last mowing, the lawn grass should grow to a height of approximately 6 cm.

In autumn tide do not forget about aeration and removal of leaves. To prevent stagnation of water it is important to provide access of oxygen to the roots of the plants. You should punch holes in the turf (the procedure can be divided in several steps) and remove fallen tree leaves and cut grass from your lawn regularly. It is also preferable to use rake to remove dried-up grass.
If you notice some uneven nesses of the lawn, you may sow more grass. First clear these places and then sow seeds and add some soil. Then water these lawn areas. In this case the new grass will grow faster.

In October, introduce combined nitrogen-free fertilizers as this chemical element provokes grass growth. In the case in question we should strengthen the root system of the plants.
