HOW TO CHOOSE A LAWN MOWER

Grass mowing is a very important procedure that represents one of conditions for creation of a beautiful and healthy lawn. Lawn mowing keeps up the aesthetic form of your lawn and helps you to struggle against weeds. This measurement stimulates the vegetative development of grass and formation of dense turf as well. How should you choose a lawn mower?
The secret of successful mowing consists in the following: the grass should remain long enough to provide root nutrition. At the same time it should be cut short enough to keep up the ornamental pattern of your lawn. The main rule is to cut no more than 1/3 of grass height at once. Thus while maintaining the lawn you can not do much without a good lawn mower.
While purchasing a lawn mower pay attention to its power and of course price. The power should correspond to the size of your lawn and its price to your budget. In the article we have described the main types of lawn mowers and we hope that this information will help you to take a good choice.
Cylindrical lawn mowers are the most widespread ones. Speaking about the energy source they can be powered either with gasoline or electricity. Gasoline lawn mowers are usually more powerful. The other advantage consists in the distance range. Electric lawn mowers are good for smaller areas.

As a rule the cylindrical mowers cost more than the other types, however they ensure grass mowing of better quality. Such lawn mowers cut grass like scissors. They give the lawn the traditional striped ornamental design and cut the grass neatly without any damages.
If you have a middle-sized lawn, in this case, give preference to a cylindrical lawn mower with mowing width from 30 to 40 cm. Lawn mowers with smaller width of mowing are less productive.
While choosing a cylindrical lawn mower, pay also attention to the number of cutting blades. The less expensive models have about five cutting blades and this is quite enough. The more expensive models have from 8 to 10 blades. This ensures grass mowing of better quality.

Rotary lawn mowers are also very popular. A rotary mower with either electric or gasoline engine rotates about a vertical axis. This type mows the lawn not so perfectly like the cylindrical lawn mowers do. However they are easier to handle and very often they are more productive. In addition rotary lawn mowers work better if you mow wet or high grass. As opposed to cylindrical devices, they remove weeds better.
Air cushion lawn mowers are the lightest and easiest in handling devices. Such models have neither wheels nor cutting height control. They move with the help of air flow produced by the engine and cutting blade.
Taking into consideration the quality of grass mowing they can be compared with rotary lawn mowers. There are electric or gasoline models. The electric models are good for the smaller garden. With the help of air cushion lawn mowers it is very comfortable to cut the grass on a lawn that has many slopes, hills or some other relief uneven nesses. Their disadvantage consists in the following: while lawn mowing, dust and cut grass fly about the lawn.
Mechanical lawn mowers are distinguished by cheap price and high quality of mowing. The other advantage is that they do not harm the environment. Their minuses are: mechanical lawn mowers do not cut high grass and they can be difficult to handling or control. Usually they do well for the smaller lawns.
